“Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something."

Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country

Our Journey so far & Destination

Our vision is to become a life long learning community to ensure our innate madness and playfulness is nurtured, preserved and tapped for our overall emotional wellbeing.

Genesis

In 2019, Moses Sam Paul (MSP) was thinking about starting a podcast and workshop series with Artists. Hence, he was exploring the art form of improv. He met Anvesh who was an improviser with ICB (Improv Comedy Bangalore) and they hit off over books and other poisons. When Sam asked Anvesh," what do you want to do"? He said," I wanna make people "Feel Alive!". "Too Abstract but that's how everybody starts", Sam added. He shared about his idea of gamifying soft skills learning. And StopBeingBoring was born.

Gestation

From December 2019 till February 2020,We were leaning towards making a space for networking and chilling in weekends. We invited few artists for Podcast.

Eureka

In March 2020,We initially thought of one offline event a month. Planned an offline vision setting meeting in a spacious park in Bangalore but surprise! Covid strikes and Janta curfew was announced. We planned a 14 hour curfewparty. It was a moving experience. People who we never meet joined. They shared their stories and jammed with us. After 14 hours of back to back sessions. We heard about the first lockdown for 21 days.

Soft Launch

Sam shares," Bro, we should do for this 21 days. One hour a day". Anvesh was skeptical but what's there to lose? We reached out to artists if they are willing to do free sessions over zoom? And they agreed! This started our 21 days streak. When we were about to hit 21 days, we thought...lets hit 25 sessions and stop. But, we couldn't hold the momentum. We touched 50 sessions and then 75 sessions and finally on July 04, we hit 100 days streak. We were on cloud nine.

This started our tryst with curating and creating courses, exploring gigs for corporates and educational institutes, master classes and learning circles.

Consolidation

In December and January 2021 we were quietly working on consolidating our processes and laying the foundation for the community at large with the help of our amazing members and community builders <3

2021 🤩

We are excited about 2021 because of Learning Circles, Offline Meets, Monthly Showcase , Hackathons and Competitions and many more experiments.
